Zapf Renaissance Antiqua is one of only a few exclusive typefaces produced by Scangraphic Dr. Böger GmbH in Hamburg (see Today Sans, #56 in this list). It was created by Hermann Zapf as a custom technical solution for the company’s CRT phototypesetting equipment.
It is a close relative of Palatino (see #38) with additional calligraphic fonts (Zapf Renaissance Antiqua Swash).
